Growing up in New Orleans, I thought drinking alcohol was inevitable.

Is there any other city more completely identified with alcohol than New Orleans?

The good times eventually rolled me westward into the vineyards of California and then Oregon where my husband and I owned and operated a winery and French wine import company.

For twenty years, we were literally soaked in it! We lived and breathed all things vinous until I just couldn't deny any longer my body's protests and several years of feeling conflicted, trapped, and powerless.

But really, what were my options, I wondered? I just didn’t see them. I emphatically did NOT see myself going to AA. What I didn’t know then is that I just didn’t have the tools - so of course my prior attempts to curb had failed!

The game-changer came for me in March 2019 when I was introduced to Annie Grace's This Naked Mind and The Alcohol Experiment. I discovered a new relationship with alcohol and the freedom, energy, joy, and vibrancy I had forgotten.

Now I coach people just like you who are curious about what life might look and feel like when they take back the reins from alcohol.

A few fun facts about me

I love to travel

Each year, I’m lucky enough to spend several months in France with my husband to be near our daughter. I love exploring what the AF movement looks like there!

Nature inspires me

I draw energy and inspiration from being in nature. In particular our little cabin on the river in the woods.

Personal growth is my thing.

I love to read and listen to podcasts. I’m constantly learning new things about living a full, rich, lush life, and all about how habits are formed, the role of neurotransmitters and hormones, and science-based tactics for mindfulness and self-care. Running, roller-skating and ping-pong are other favorite activities.

Great food, lovingly prepared.

Taking the time to prepare a beautiful plate of nutritious food (and tasty alcohol-free cocktail) is a form of self-care for me. In my former career working with Food Network chefs, I fell in love with cooking and plating amazing meals.
